Panoramic Beauty

The rugged coastline

east of the island

unspoilt views of the ocean

rock formations

undulating green hills

huge shady trees

line winding road.

In the distance

lavender farm

bluish purplish

sweet smelling flowers

a sight to behold!

Road narrows

dry red soil

beach vegetation

both sides

leading to resort

fishing sports

water sports.

Spectacular sunset

dinner by the beach

crayfish bake

the crustacean

at its freshest and best

a unique experience

on the Apple Isle.

  1. So vividly beautiful in imagery that it doesn’t even beg a photo 😉 Just lovely!

  2. Iris, you have the most amazing way of expressing and creating pictures in my mind and feelings along with them! Thank you!! Brilliant as always! Love, Cher xo

  3. I enjoyed this ramble through the countryside, culminating in a feast. What a beautiful day out!

  4. Apple Isle sounds delightful, as does the lavender.

    • The Apple Isle lives up to its name as I understand that it was once one of the major apple producing regions in the world. There’s plenty of natural beauty … a delight for creative works! As for lavender, its so beautifully scented, don’t you think so? 🙂

  5. Iris, I enjoyed this sumptuous mini-vacation you’ve just shared with us. If I close my eyes and pretend that the traffic sounds coming in my window with the breeze are simply waves crashing on the rugged shore I can almost smell the beach dinner baking.

    Blessings ~ Wendy ❀

    • Yes, Wendy, there is nothing like a freshly baked crayfish dinner by the beach! This resort is famous for their fresh seafood too. The view is magnificent on the isle! Appreciate your sharing and thoughts 🙂 Love Iris
