I didn’t know the hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia. What a great choice.

The hibiscus rosa sinensis (bunga raya) is brilliant red in colour and was declared as Malaysia’s national flower in 1960. It is also featured in currency notes, coins and stamps. The hibiscus plant is grown in many gardens and there are many varieties of different colours. Thank you for your interest, Gallivanta. 🙂 Have a lovely week.

Indeed, we do. I’m not really into gardening but flora and fauna have always inspired me in my poetry. The lovely gardens of some friends in Australia and the beautiful wild flowers have also made me more appreciative of the beauty of nature. 🙂 Thank you, Michelle, for your kind comment. ❤
