  1. Yes, it’s risky, but I bet the surfers like the adrenaline rush ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you, Christy ๐Ÿ™‚ If there is no risk, would there be any challenge? Yes, this sport is risky and as I see it many surfers go in for the thrill and challenge, sometimes defying nature… but it’s a choice they have to make! Appreciate your interesting comment ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. any challenge involves at least one risk and vice-versa… ๐Ÿ™‚ but we have to assume the risk(s) we take as it’s our choice and our decision… we say in French: il ne faut pas tenter le diable! = do not tempt (devil)fate! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you, Mary, you are most welcome. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope your summer weather has been pleasant. I enjoyed the milder weather in Brisbane after having lived in Melbourne. The poem is one inspired by a trip to Bondi Beach and watching the thrill seekers displaying their skills on the surfboards. Appreciate your time here! Happy Australia Day and best wishes.

  6. It’s a bit cold for surfing in the North so I only see it if we go to Cornwall, so tempting all those big waves. It looks easier than it is, I had a go lets just say its a good thing I’m a good swimmer.
