On That Night

The haunting sounds

of the didgeridoo*

Stories and folklore

Outback Alice Springs

By the warm campfire

they strummed the ukulele

and played the harmonica

From his soul

he sang

in a deep voice

it echoed

and it echoed

through the night

Cool and crisp

frosty air

under the starry sky.
