Let’s Go Alfresco

To the trattoria

by the river

the harbour’s

bustling nightlife

restaurants galore

cosmopolitan cuisine

~

Just sipping

a café latte

or savouring

a wood oven pizza

watching

the world go by!

~

Across the harbour

the bridge

brightly lighted up

and the view

of the magnificent

Opera House

catches the eye!!!

~

The summer night

full of life

starry sky

moonlit

reflections on the river

lovers stroll

holding hands

dreams are made of this.

      • I didn’t know Aussies at Italian food. 😎 It would be lovely if you could email the latte and pizza to me. There is something uniquely special about Australia. Everyone is laid back and so friendly. I watch Househunters on HGTV and they visit Australia often. That gave me my education on one of the loveliest and safest places to live as is Japan. I am from New York City (now living in Florida). We New Yorkers swear by our pizza. 🙂 (Arrogant bunch that we are) 😛

    • So lovely to learn that your children have visited Sydney… and must have shared their experiences with you. Delighted you have now been there, Phil! You are very kind and thanks for stopping by. Glad to meet you here, appreciate your visit. 🙂 Best wishes, Iris.

      • Yes they both love Aus. I just need to persuade at least one of them to emigrate and my plans of eradicating Autumn and Winter from my diary are a step closer 🙂 (not so much Autumn because of the colours, just the wind, wet and lack of warmth) Likewise Iris, I’m looking forward to reading more of your poems 🙂

    • You would enjoy a trip there and the Opera House, of course. Theatre is very much alive there! Australian gardens and parks are beautiful … Family picnics and barbeques are very popular in line with the lifestyle. Thanks for stopping by, Charlotte. Hope all’s well with you in London. 🙂
