To market, flea market
such an exciting
place to be
~
Lots of bric-a-brac
collectibles
antiques
you name it
they’ve got it!
~
People come
 far and wide
weekend market
 variety
stalls
~
Local
home grown produce
home made cakes
jams
and honey
~
Families
children and adults
browsing
picking up
a bargain
here and there
~
Interesting down under
culture
buskers
with their instruments
adding to
the fun
for everyone!
~
Handmade soaps
sweet scented candles
art and plants
or some artisan chocolates
and a cuppa with me?

    Fantastic! Who doesn’t adore a good flea market? I loved your very visual poem, Iris. I can see the milling, bustle and the finding of treasures as if it was happening right before me. A cuppa or other lovely drink sets it off nicely. 😀

    What a fun visit to the flea market, Iris, thanks for bringing us along. You paint a vivid picture here of the spirit and sights. I had never heard of “buskers” before, googled it, not a word we use in the States. I think it’s a great word, I’m adopting it. And I love the title, matches well with the ending.

Yes, buskers have livened street corners, shopping malls and around craft markets in Australia… some students perform in this way too for the extra income or recognition.
