A Song Of Hope

When evening slips

into the silence

of the night

Through threatening clouds

and pollution’s haze

Beyond the hills

city lights dim

Moon peeps

above distant horizon

and yet, yes

A song of hope

for a new dawn

Let This Be

Something still

A dreamy melody

and your sweet refrain

Scintillating stars

across the twilight sky

Born to shine the glow

the glow that lives with us

For a million years

Stardust in your eyes

Take to heart and mind

The Crescent Arc

Sweetgum trees

silhouette majestic sunset

Enchantment with artistic wonders

highlighted by the crescent

on nights like these

Across edge of twilight

where soft lavender hues

tell the tale of

the golden arc

~

The night is clear and cool

sliver of crescent moon

hangs bright in the sky

radiating a warm glow

reflecting beauty

illuminating this autumn night

So Simple Yet

Integrity of character

is strength

Stand tall

Melody Of Roses

Sweet and gentle

Alluring days

love and splendour

Love’s allegro

playing softly

Fresh scent of Spring

Love’s pure joy

Scarlet roses

Melody of love

Imagine …

As I fly over

vast stretches

of miniatures

I see tiny trees

minuscule rivers

sheep strewn acres

on meadows

of wildflowers

A sky like a marble top

cotton wool clouds swirl

and drift against

the shadowed lilac hills

into a soft beige

landscape of the wild country

Great Southern Land

enchanting landscape

of beauty

Awake Dawn

The ocean chorus sings

Sound of lapping waves

Scent of the sea

How sweet the air

Breathe all that is

Surely as the sun will rise

That Night Divine

That Night Divine

A Certain Tenderness

Spring

when flowers

speak and sing

I listen to

the gentle rain

In nature

one of those

leisurely moments

A bird sings

Listen

Now there’s nothing

but complete silence

Listen

An Indifferent Sky

Once a field of water

surrounding the bay

Now the fishing trawlers

lie still

A fisherman gaze at

the barren sea

wondering …

what little …

there’s left

~

The village deserted

Haze hovers over the hills

But a moment of beauty

as rain clouds part

the moon peeps

a rainbow of hope

across the indifferent sky

That spark …

The rarity of that moment

like the day

you pick the flowers

in spring

and the air smells of lavender

a vision of your journey

as bright

as the sparkling stars

With these fleeting days

and through the passage of time

the season bursts

beauty of life

awakened

Rainbow Over The Lake

Sun’s rays

in misty rain

multi-coloured rainbow

paints the sky

~

Above the blue lake

birds gliding

waltzing in the breeze

~

Verdant pastures

wildflowers and haystacks

never ending stretches

of undulating

green hills

~

Over and beyond

a quaint thatched cottage

still stands

Dreamy …

Dawn in your solitude

Beauty so incredible

Let your beauty

linger on

Let your beauty

linger on

Wait …

for the sunrise

~

The falling snow

drifts by the window

A little bird

chirps winter’s song

A little bird

chirps winter’s song

Love’s sweet symphony

Morning has risen

Sunburst

Scaling lofty mountains

challenges

from greater heights

persevere

a burst of sunshine

through the silver lining

inspiring hope

Awakening The Charm

Finally

when rain begins to fall

pitter patter

pitter patter

 the wind

that stirs the trees

wind that sets

the blue gum leaves

swaying violins

playing winter’s song

the warmth of crackling wood

awakening the charm

of winter’s beauty

A Star Tonight

It was fascination

the moon grows bright

Stars will stop

where they are

The sky is light

Tonight, tonight

Here you are

what was just

the world is

A star tonight

Soul Of The Eyes

Matter and memory

play of fantasy

creative imagination.

Hush Now …

My love

quiet is the night

luminous jewels

sparkling brilliantly

heavenly gems

glowing moonlight

love’s music.

Wanderlust

The rainforest

wildflowers and wild birds

They are the miracles

if we choose to

not blindly pass through.

~

Will we choose to wander

never to behold

the beauty

the mundane is

so eager to offer?

~

A world so pristine

awaits on

the tips of our lashes.

Power And Folly

Three profound words

Consumed by power

A human folly.
