Sun’s rays

in misty rain

multi-coloured rainbow

paints the sky

Above the blue lake

birds gliding

waltzing in the breeze

Verdant pastures

wildflowers and haystacks

never ending stretches

of undulating

green hills

Over and beyond

a quaint thatched cottage

still stands

Tranquil Gaze

The distant sails

on blue mountain lake

reflections of calm

Garden Of Roses

The beautiful Jacaranda tree

in full bloom

of blue and purple hues

Butterflies flit freely

beside the lake of sparkling waters

Rose shrubs of spicy perfume

attract the birds of the air

whistling a happy tune

with praise and gratitude

to the Creator of all things

bright and beautiful

My heart with pleasure sings

on this glorious spring day.

Red Sails

A charming landscape

Flowers bloom

by the calm waters

Red sails at sunset

The lake of tranquility.

A Nightingale Sings

As evening shadows fall

A nightingale perched on a tree branch

sings by the light of the silvery moon

The twinkling stars

glittering like diamonds

across the pink sky

Sparkling waves on the lake

dancing a moonlight crescendo

Swan On The Lake

Like myriads of twinkling stars

on glistening waters

Tiptoed the graceful movements

of the ballerina.

Gentle ripples

Echoes of the waves

Rhythmic movements

of the ballet.

orchestrated the strings and bows

To an art of

evocative music and dance.

Brown ducks and black swans

Gliding along the lake,

In the green botanic park,

A patch of yellow golden daffodils

And a rose bush garden nearby

A landscape of colour in nature.
